The ‘ists’ and ‘isms’

Shubha posts a blog about the pragmatic feminist..

I am amazed by the extensive amounts of time and bandwidth, that people spend, to fit themselves in the boxes of idealogies, religions or national identity..At the end of the day, we are all unique individuals with unique circumstances in unique lives!

Idealogies ..the ‘isms ‘ ..are a hat and a pair of colored lenses..Great to gain some perspective & some cool shade…You take what you can and move on with the business of life…

Science has taught us that there are no infallible laws….The ‘isms’ are an academic garb for those who want to standby and watch…The real fun is in taking these ‘isms’ and soaking them up with the other ‘isms’ to create your own perspective to life….

Loyality to any ‘ism’ is harmful to the psychological health of a human being…Such loyalities deprive you of the ability to be the unique , one in a gazillion ‘ You ‘.

  1. Yep, I am unique, just like everyone else.

Damn, that doesn’t sound so cool. Maybe I should think about examining a set of ideals that seem to fit everything I believe in. But then, if I attach myself to that label, I would loose this uniqueness.

You know, the one that everyone has.

    Difficult choice, no?
